We base our Admissions Policy on a fair system and are open to all members of the community. We endeavour to cater for all individuals and are happy to discuss your child’s needs, in order that we can ensure they are provided with the best possible care.
Should you wish to entrust your child into our care, please download our Application Form and return it to us. Admission is subject to availability, and if a place is not available your child’s name will be added to our waiting list. Once we have confirmed your child’s start date, a £20 Enrolment Fee is required, along with a £50 deposit, which is deducted from your first month’s Nursery fees. The Enrolment Fee and deposit are non-refundable should you decide not to take up your child’s nursery place.
We will then arrange a ‘Settling-In Session’ - a suitable time to discuss your child’s needs with you prior to them starting at Emmy Jayne’s. This can take place either at nursery or through a home visit, where your child would have the opportunity to become familiar with us in their own, comfortable environment. Following the Settling-In Session, opportunities are provided for you and your child to visit the Nursery and become more familiar with the environment. Normally we would arrange two visits, but more will be organised if you feel your child would benefit. You and your child will be allocated two key people, one or both of whom will welcome and look after you during the settling-in process and thereafter.
We recognise that a child’s settling in process can also be a difficult time for parents and carers, so we are there to support and reassure you. We want you to have confidence in both your child's well being and your role as active partners with the Nursery, and will work in partnership to ensure that your child settles in smoothly, and as gently as possible. Children are very individual, so each settling in process will be unique. We aim to be as flexible as possible and will do our best to support and accommodate every need.
The Local Offer – Emmy Jayne’s Nursery School
Children’s wellbeing is at the heart of all we do, and the nursery is committed to the inclusion of all children. We provide a positive and welcoming environment where children are supported according to their individual needs, in order that they can develop to their full potential. We will make reasonable adjustments to our provision in order that all children can make full use of our facilities. You can download a PDF document that describes what we can offer to support children and families with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) by clicking here.
